Getting there
The museum occupies floors 7–8 of the Riverain Center Building above Nakasu-Kawabata Exit 6. Check the lift and entrance within Hakata Riverain. Canal City is a different complex.

Hours and closures
Galleries normally open 9:30–18:00, until 20:00 on Fridays/Saturdays, with last entry 30 minutes earlier. Closed Wednesdays, the next working day if Wednesday is a holiday, and December 26–January 1. Café hours differ.
Admission and choosing tickets
Building entry is free. Standard Asia Gallery admission is ¥200 for adults, ¥150 for high-school/university students, and free for junior-high pupils and younger. Special exhibitions have separate prices; check the exhibition’s own ticket page.
Children, access and luggage
With children, plan one exhibition and a break. Eating and drinking are restricted outside the seventh-floor café. Check official facility guidance and ask staff about stroller routes and baby-care needs.
Check exhibition name, floor and price before entry. Free lockers are listed, but large suitcases are not guaranteed to fit. Ask a restaurant separately before leaving its queue to visit the museum.
