Where should I start?

The subway day pass costs ยฅ640 for adults or ยฅ320 for children and covers the service day from first to last train. Contactless fares have the same daily caps when you keep using the same card number and device. For fewer rides, compare the total fares for your planned journeys first.

Compare the options for your trip

Several planned rides: consider the day pass

It covers subway sections of the Airport, Hakozaki and Nanakuma lines. A ticket bought from a station machine is valid on the purchase day, not for 24 hours.

Flexible plans: consider contactless

Use a supported card or phone at the dedicated reader. A physical card and phone are counted separately for the cap, even with the same card number.

Check JR, buses and Nishitetsu separately

The pass covers Fukuoka City Subway sections only. Bank-card contactless travel is not supported on the JR Chikuhi Line. For Dazaifu or an onward Chikuhi Line journey, confirm the full route and tickets with station staff.

Child contactless fares: ask staff before every entry

Child contactless fares require staff setup before each entry, including repeat rides on the same day. One card cannot admit several people. For a family, arrange child tickets and a separate payment method for each traveller first.

Compare actual fares and routes, not just ride counts

Look up hotel โ†’ sightseeing โ†’ meal โ†’ hotel and total the subway fares. Bus and JR costs are separate. If choosing contactless, check compatibility and keep the same card or device all day.
