A short outing with an easy return

These are JapanPin itinerary suggestions, not guarantees of journey times or booking availability.

  1. Staying in Namba? Have dinner around Shinsaibashi, then walk a nearby stretch of Midosuji. Choose your return station before setting off.
  2. From 11 to 25 December, make the Nakanoshima show a separate evening outing. With a stroller, keep the riverside walk short and leave time for just one show.
  3. There is no need to fit both areas into one night. After a busy day of attractions, a short walk near your hotel may be enough.

Prepare for a visit with children

Eat and use the toilet before the show so children spend less time waiting outside. Pack gloves and a windproof layer for the riverside.

Check baby-care facilities at the department store you plan to use. Indoor facilities may close long before the street lights switch off.

A backup plan for bad weather

In rain or strong winds, swap a long riverside walk for indoor shopping and a meal in Namba or Umeda. Check the organiser for cancellations.
