Start with an activity
Check the operating information for your Planets booking date, then add a short walk before or after your visit.
Fit your activity booking around market business hours before adding a waterfront walk. Compare Tsukiji and Toyosu, family conditions, train tickets and the performance calendar.
Official information reviewedJapanPin suggestion: plan a Planets booking together with the opening hours of your chosen place to eat. With half a day, focus on either Toyosu or the Odaiba waterfront. Check date-specific market restrictions and the Miraikan closure notice before finalising the day.
Check the operating information for your Planets booking date, then add a short walk before or after your visit.
Spend time by the water in Odaiba. Add the fountain show as an optional stop when a performance is confirmed for your date.
JapanPin suggestion: limit the day to one area and leave time for breaks. Use the stroller and water-area information below to decide whether to include an activity.
Planets is in Toyosu; Borderless is on floor B1 of Garden Plaza B at Azabudai Hills. Borderless lists a walk of about two minutes from Kamiyacho Station Exit 5. Check the venue on your ticket before searching for directions.
From Shimbashi, compare the Yurikamome; from Shinjuku or Shibuya, check JR Saikyo Line services connecting to the Rinkai Line for Tokyo Teleport. Check the destination and any transfers rather than assuming every service runs through. Daiba and Odaiba-kaihinkoen on the Yurikamome are separate from Tokyo Teleport on the Rinkai Line.
The official guide lists about one minute on foot from Shin-Toyosu Station's north exit, or ten minutes from Toyosu Station Exit 7 on the Yurakucho Line. Allow a separate journey between Toyosu and Odaiba.
An Entrance Pass requires a date and entry time; tickets are not sold on site. Check prices, change conditions and closures through the official ticket store. The entry slot does not limit the length of your stay.
Leave strollers in the designated area before entering; baby carriers are permitted. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult, with no more than three children per adult, including children admitted free. Water areas are experienced barefoot and water may reach an adult's knees, so bring spare clothes for children. Ask staff about wheelchair access and alternative routes.
Tokyo Subway Ticket covers Tokyo Metro and Toei Subway. Yurikamome and the Rinkai Line cost extra, so budget separately for your subway journey to Toyosu and onward travel to Odaiba.
At the review date, QR all-line passes cost ¥820/¥410 for adults/children for one day, or ¥900/¥450 for 24 hours. These are different products: check validity and activation conditions before buying. They cover the 16 Yurikamome stations; budget separately for JR, subway and Rinkai Line travel. Compare individual fares if making only a few journeys.
Tokyo Aqua Symphony is free to watch and needs no reservation. Official access guidance lists about three minutes on foot from Daiba, or ten from Tokyo Teleport. Maintenance and events can change performances: check the calendar for your date. A blank date is still undecided. Plan so that a waterfront walk can be enough if no show is available.
As checked on October 20, 2026, Miraikan is closed for refurbishment from October 1, 2026 through April 22, 2027. Reopening has been announced for April 23, 2027. Leave it out of earlier itineraries, and recheck the official announcements for the reopening date and new visitor arrangements.
Visitor corridors open from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. on market operating days, while restaurants and shops have their own hours. Corridors and the restaurant area are unavailable on market closure days. The tuna-auction deck requires a separate advance application and lottery. Distinguish it from a visit to the general viewing corridors.
Tsukiji Outer Market is a separate food-and-shopping destination from Toyosu's auction visit. Plan a general visit around 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., checking each shop's days and hours. The market calendar does not define a universal closure schedule. Give trade buyers priority before 9 a.m. and eat inside a business or designated area.
JapanPin suggestion: if a market meal matters, check the business hours before choosing a Planets time. Do not lock in a market meal after a late activity. Choose either Tsukiji or Toyosu if that suits your day, then make the Odaiba walk and show optional around the weather and return journey. With half a day, focus on one area.
JapanPin suggestion: focus on the Odaiba waterfront and a meal, adding the fountain only when the official calendar confirms a performance.
Planets includes the outdoor Moss Garden, where strong wind or heavy rain can restrict viewing. Check the day's notices and keep the waterfront part flexible.
Choose your areas and return station before comparing fares. A Yurikamome pass does not also cover the other railway sections of your trip.
Review your overall itinerary and where to stay.
Compare a harbour-city trip for another day.
