Namba to Nara: Kintetsu fares, boarding & return

Choose the correct destination station

In Namba, select Kintetsu Osaka-Namba as your departure station; Nankai Namba and JR Namba have different platforms. Arrive at Kintetsu-Nara, which is also different from JR Nara. Check walks using your hotel and first destination addresses.

Basic fare and return budget

The return figure adds two identical basic fares; it is not a discounted return ticket. Hotel transfers, local buses or subways and admission cost extra. Recheck the fare for your travel date before buying.

Distinguish ordinary services such as Express or Rapid Express from paid Limited Express trains. AONIYOSHI cannot be used with the ¥680 basic fare alone: limited-express and special-car charges apply. The child basic fare is ¥340 one way; check official age and seating rules.

Boarding: station → destination → platform

1. Check the railway operator as well as the station name before entering.: 大阪難波 / Osaka-Namba (Kintetsu A01)
2. Enter your date and time in the official journey search. Check whether the result is direct or needs a transfer, and whether supplements apply.
3. Check the departure board for destination, train type and stops. Follow the platform and departure time shown on your travel day.
4. Save the arrival station on your map and check the walk to your first stop. Consult the station plan first if you need a lift.

A manageable day and the journey back

JapanPin planning suggestion: arrive at Kintetsu-Nara, take a nearby walk, have lunch, visit one priority attraction and return to the station. Check temple or museum last admission and seasonal sunset; follow local guidance around deer.

1. Choose a hotel arrival time, then search in the return direction.: 近鉄奈良 / Kintetsu-Nara (A28) → 大阪難波 / Osaka-Namba (Kintetsu A01)
2. Include the final metro connection or transfer to your hotel, the walk to the station and time for food or queues.
3. Pick an earlier return service instead of relying on the last train. We do not publish a fixed last departure: check weekday, weekend and service changes for your date.
