teamLab Planets Tokyo: water, clothing and children

Planets in Toyosu has areas where visitors walk through water: spare clothes and a baby carrier matter. It is different from Borderless in Azabudai Hills, so check the venue on your ticket.

Where should I start?

The water area is barefoot, and water can reach an adultโ€™s knees. Bring childrenโ€™s spare clothes and consider mirrored floors when dressing. This is not a swimming area.

Planning this outing

Make this the main Toyosu stop and handle toilets and feeding first. If a child gets wet or uncomfortable, ask staff about bypasses instead of insisting on every artwork.

Questions before you go

What should we wear for the water area?

The water area is barefoot, and water can reach an adultโ€™s knees. Bring childrenโ€™s spare clothes and consider mirrored floors when dressing. This is not a swimming area.

What about strollers and babies?

Leave strollers in the designated area before entry. Front baby carriers are permitted, but individual artworks have restrictions; carrying a baby does not guarantee access everywhere.

How many children can one adult accompany?

Under-13s need a guardian aged 18 or over, with one adult for every three children including free-entry children. Count the whole party before booking.
