Where should I start?
For a planned jingisukan dinner, check the official booking terms at Daruma 7.4. Hanamaru’s conveyor-belt restaurants and Shiki Hanamaru have different reservation policies. In winter, keep an alternative that limits outdoor waiting, but check the actual address and exit before assuming an underground passage reaches the restaurant entrance.
Compare booking and queue arrangements
Start with the entry method, then read the branch details for fees, cancellation and check-in rules. On small screens, scroll the table horizontally.
Arrangements can differ between branches of the same brand.
Daruma 7.4: check booking fees and late-arrival rules
The official booking page accepts 2–15 guests, including children, with a non-refundable ¥500 fee per person and a 50-minute seating limit. Arriving over 10 minutes late may cancel the booking; date or party-size changes require cancellation and a new purchase. Walk-ins are also accepted, with no guaranteed waiting time.
Conveyor-belt seating is not reservable under the official FAQ. Check the branch for registration times and ticketing. Before a train from Sapporo Station, allow for the queue, meal, luggage collection and platform walk. Choose another meal option if departure is approaching.
The official Tokeidai page lists telephone reservations from 13:30 on weekdays and throughout opening hours on weekends and public holidays. It lists booking from the first day of the previous month; check actual availability and changes by phone. This is a different venue and dining format from Stellar Place conveyor-belt sushi.
JapanPin suggestion: pair Sapporo Station shopping with a Stellar Place meal, and check your journey back to the hotel before booking dinner in Susukino. In snow, look beyond map distance to street crossings, entrances and open underground connections. Ask the restaurant before leaving a ticketed queue to wait somewhere warm.
Open the booking service linked from the restaurant’s own branch page. Choose the date, Japan local time, party size and menu, including children where required. Read the total and cancellation deadline, then save the completion screen and confirmation email. A booking agent’s acknowledgement of a request may still require confirmation. If you need help with a phone call, ask your hotel whether it can assist.
Check how to join the queue before waiting
Ask staff whether to join a physical line, add your name to a list or take a ticket. If you receive a ticket, check how you will be called, whether you may leave and when to return. A QR code that shows the queue does not necessarily let you join remotely. The number of parties ahead is not a time estimate, and queue registration may close before last orders.
Check children, dietary needs and luggage in advance
Check age and party-size rules, stroller space, high chairs and large bags before booking. A note in the request field does not confirm a particular seat or piece of equipment. Contact the restaurant about allergies or ingredients you cannot eat and wait for its response before deciding. A takeaway counter, restaurant and cafe in the same building may have different booking and queue arrangements.
Separate meal costs, booking fees and cancellation charges
Check whether the quoted course price includes booking fees, seating charges or a deposit. Establish whether an advance payment covers your meal or is a separate fee. Where changes require a new booking, the original fee may be lost. Use the service through which you booked to make changes or cancel, and keep its completion record.
Useful phrases to show staff
Where do we join the queue?「受付はどこですか?」 · Do we need a ticket?「整理券は必要ですか?」 · May we leave briefly?「少し離れても大丈夫ですか?」 · When should we be back?「いつまでに戻ればいいですか?」 · Should we include children in the party size?「子どもも人数に含めますか?」 Wait for staff to explain the procedure before leaving.
Questions before you go
Does a booking mean there will be no wait?
It depends on whether you booked a seat or priority entry. A priority pass may not hold a seat, and even a reservation can involve a short wait. Check the terms for your specific branch.
Can I use any booking button shown on a map?
First check which booking routes the restaurant accepts on its own website. Some explicitly reject bookings from particular agents. Match the venue name, address and booking service before proceeding.
Can we go shopping after taking a queue ticket?
Rules vary by restaurant. Ask whether you may leave, how you will be called and when to return. Do not apply a review or rule from a different branch.
Can I book in English or Korean?
Use the language selector where the official booking service provides one. Check the branch and terms, and make sure you can use the required phone number and payment method. A translated booking page does not mean all staff speak that language.

A reservation request is not a confirmed booking. Check the branch, date, party size, total including booking fees, and cancellation terms, then wait for confirmation. Follow the restaurant’s official instructions if it specifies a different booking method.
