Osaka LUCUA SOUTH: character shops, opening dates and entry conditions
For character shopping at LUCUA SOUTH, match each shop’s opening date with the entry notice. The official 2026 plan separates the November 24 second-phase opening from some December openings. Distinguish existing 13F shops from upcoming ones, and do not plan around guaranteed walk-in access.

Choose your travel date, check the floor and opening date for the brands you want, then read entry-application or ticket instructions for that date. LUCUA, LUCUA 1100 and LUCUA SOUTH are not the same building just because they share the JR Osaka Station area. We suggest prioritising one or two shops with time for food, rest and the return.

Find the South Gate Building
The official directions identify the South Gate Building, directly connected to JR Osaka Station, above Daimaru Umeda. Check the building name rather than looking for the same floor in LUCUA or LUCUA 1100 on the north side. Allow time after station arrival for lifts and admission queues.

The plan lists Chiikawa Park Store and Nagano Market on 11F and several 12F character shops for November 24. POP MART on 13F shares that date, while SQUARE ENIX NEXUS is listed for December 23. Some 10F shops also open in December, so one headline date does not cover every shop.

The November 18–23 preview is a lottery invitation for LUCUA members registered with a WESTER ID, with age and party-size rules for companions. October 29–November 4 is a reserve application period only if an additional round is held, not a confirmed entry offer. Do not assume every traveller can immediately apply or enter; read the official conditions.

Covering many floors and popular shops can create overlapping entry, checkout and rest needs. Choose one or two priority shops and a meal, then check the lift route for a stroller. We do not automatically check new-product stock or invitation eligibility, so prepare another Umeda option on restricted dates.
